terracotta tile cleaning

I have terracotta tile in my kitchen and front bathroom. It need cleaned really badly.

Do you clean this sort of tile?

When we bought the house it was already installed. I believe it was never sealed
I have seen this sort of terracotta tile in pictures and it looks so clean and shinny.





Hi Sharon,

This tile does become very dirty if not scrubbed clean from time to time. A lot of people coat this tile to have the shiny look you're talking about.

Just cleaning and sealing it will make it look clean, but more rustic and dull.

To get the shiny look, you will need to clean and then coat it with an acrylic coating.
