Sealers

(Houston, Texas)
I have a lot of travertine flooring.
I live in Houston.
What type of sealer will give the floor a shine do you recommend?
Thank you so much.
Sherry,
You don't want to put any type of coating that will provide a shiny finish on your travertine tile.
Please don't do it!
It will cause you lots of frustration and possible lots of money in the future trying to fix all the problems with trying to maintain the finish.
If you wanted a shiny finish, you should have thought about buying a polished travertine before installing.
If it's now installed, then you can have a stone professional come out and polish the tiles to give it a polished finish.
Of course this will cost you, but it's the correct way to have a shiny finish on your travertine tile.
Once it's polished you can have a penetrating sealer applied to protect the stone from staining.
Please take my advice and don't put a shiny coating on your floor, as it will cause you much frustration in the future.
