resealing with color enhancer

I read a question from Scottie about color enhancing his already sealed slate with color enhancer and it looked fine.
I have a similar question but it pertains to natural stone backsplash.
I have sealed first, grouted, cleaned, and sealed again. The backsplash just looks washed out.
I wonder if I can also add a color enhancer to the already sealed stone?
I really don't want the grout to get any darker so I was thinking I would just brush on the enhancer with a foam brush.
What do you think?
And what do you recommend?
Thanks
Karen
Hi Karen,
You didn't mention what type of natural stone you had, but you did mention a slate tile.
Some slates always seem to have that washed out look and I always recommend using an enhancing sealer.
I think what you want to do is perfectly fine.
Also, from my experience, when using the the enhancing sealer, it doesn't really darken grout that much.
So, I wouldn't worry to much about sealing the whole backsplash.
Of course do a test in one spot to be sure that it doesn't darken the grout.
I hope this explanations helps!
