The grinding and polishing process is a mechanical action that starts with course grit diamond pads and progressively uses finer pads until the floor is smooth to the touch and reflective.

Both water and dry polishing processes are utilized in the polishing process and because HEPA vacuum cleaners are used, no dust is generated during the grinding and polishing process.

There are also floor hardners or densifiers used in the polishing process, which help harden and protect the floor. With the densification of the concrete it eliminates dusting from efflorescence, which adds to costly maintenance of an unpolished concrete floor.

The last step in the entire process is the introduction of a concrete sealers that both enhances the polished floor and helps protect from staining. These concrete sealers are another break through in technology that help maintain the beauty of concrete for the life of the floor.
