Cloudy Marble tile

I have some cloudy tile around my toilet and a few other areas in my bathroom.
What causes this an how do you get it to polish back up.
Cary,
What may have happened to your marble tile is something acidic may have come in contact with the marble.
When an acid (like toilet bowl cleaner, urine) comes in contact with marble, the calcium in marble begins to undergo a chemical reaction.
This chemical reaction actually begins to eat away the marble, leaving an etch mark, which can look cloudy or like a water stain.
This is very common in marble tile and what keeps my stone and tile cleaning business thriving.
You most likely will have to find a stone restoration professional to come and hone and polish the marble to get it to a polished finish.
It may be a something a little hard for a homeowner to learn. Not impossible, but not likely someone can learn without a lot of practice and experience.
Do a google search for marble polishing in your home town and I'm sure you can find a local company to come and polish it right up for you.
