Cleaning limestone shower
I have a 20 year old limestone shower that needs a deep cleaning.
We have hard water and there is probably lots of soap scrum deposits, as well.
What product do you suggest to use on this neglected limestone shower?
Thank you!
Mary
Hi Mary,
I would use MB-3 Soap-scum Remover. It works great for soap scum, and hard water deposits. We use it for all our shower cleanings.
You will love this product. Remember, even though it says it's a soap scum remover on the label, I have found you still need to scrape the walls with a razor blade.
I would buy a 3 inch razor at the big box store along with a small garden/chemical sprayer.
After diluting your MB-3, spray it on the area to be cleaned and let it sit for at least 5 minutes. Keep it wet. Basically it begins to loosen the soap scum and mineral deposits.
Then scrape the walls and floor with your brand new razor. Keep a new and fresh blade as it works best.
After scraping spray more product and scrub with a pad. You may have to scrape again. It's a process, and takes work.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!
Pedro
