Cleaning Cultured Marble
Cleaning cultured marble is not that hard and it should be done regularly to keep it looking good.
Most cultured marble comes with a glossy finish, which is actually a gel-coat coating that was applied when the mold of
the cultured marble was formed.
It is this gel-coat finish that you want to maintain and keep clean.
Do not use any abrasive cleaning products or abrasive pads to clean your cultured marble,
as they may scratch the glossy gel-coat.
How to Clean Cultured Marble
If you have cultured marble countertops they're the same as cleaning most polished surfaces and aren't a hard task.
Don't be worried about damaging your cultured marble.
We always recommend neutral cleaners for all natural stone surfaces and that includes your cultured marble.
Neutral cleaners are safe for all natural stone and tile and grout surfaces.
There is no need for strong cleaning chemicals, as they may damage the gel-coat coating.
The most important thing to remember is not to use any abrasive cleaning products or abrasive pads that
can scratch the gel-coat.
Use a soft cotton or microfiber cloth with your favorite cleaning product or neutral cleaner to wipe the
surface clean. After rinsing thoroughly, you can use a dry soft cloth to buff the cultured marble.
Buffing with a soft cloth actually polishes the surface. If you want you can also use any car wax to help
with the polishing.
When it comes to cleaning cultured marble or just maintaining natural stone and tile and grout, we strive to help educate our
customers on the best protection they can have, helping them save time and money in costly restoration costs down the road.
