Ceramic Title Grout Cleaning

Have lightly colored grout which has become hazy, because of a toilet leak. Resembles similarity to white water spots. What would you recomend as a cleaner and the method for restoration of grout color.

You can use a variety of different cleaners. An alkaline cleaner would probably be the best.

Scrub with a soft bristled brush and rinse well. Once dry, inspect to see if the grout has been stained.

If it is stained, my suggestion would be to colorseal the grout.

I like to use colorseal from Groutperfect. You can google groutperfect and buy it from them directly.

It's about $75 for a quart, so it may be too pricey, but then again it may be worth it to you.

It's not terribly hard to apply. I would call groutperfect and talk to their technical department on how to apply.

If you have a few hours and don't mind being on your knees, you can do it yourself.

If you don't want to do it, look for a local company that will come and do it for you.

I'm sure there is someone local that does tile and grout cleaning, that offers colorsealing.
