HOW TO POLISH TRAVENTINE TILE TO A MATTE FINISH AFTER IT HAS BEEN INSTALLED LOT OF ADDITIONAL ROUGHNESS BECAUSE THE INSTALLER USED A SANDED EPOXY TYPE GROUT
I would probably use a honing powder with a hogs hair pad to hone the travertine tile.
I would probably use 150 or 400 grit honing powder. If you still are not getting the results you want, it may need diamond polishing first.
If this doesn't make sense you, then you probably should talk to a stone restoration professional to come and give you a bid on the cost and what they might do after inspecting the travertine floor.
I hope this information helps.
