Removing the high polish look of limestone floor
by Kim z.

I have a very high polished limestone floor. Is it possible to remove the polished glossy look and return it to natural stone look?
Yes it is possible. There are a few ways of doing this, one with honing powder and the other using a muriatic acid.
I've never done the acid, but I've heard of others doing this method.
I always use a honing powder to do this. We use a 250 grit and finish with a 400 grit honing powder, to leave the floor nice a smooth, removing the polished finish.
We use floor machines with green, hogs hair or white pads.
I'm not sure if you are able to rent or have access to a floor machine to do this process.
If not, I would call a natural stone professional to come help you with this service.
I hope this helps.
