Polishing a Limestone counter
My daughter tried to clean our limestone topped sink with scrubbing bubbles.
She took the shine off the limestone.
What do I need to get the shine back?
If your limestone had a polished finish, and now the finish has been etched from the scrubbing bubbles, you most likely will have to have the limestone countertop refinished or restored.
Marble restoration, or in this case limestone restoration, is the refinishing process of your limestone surface.
I don't think you can do it yourself, as it involves the use of diamond polishing pads, a hand polishing machine, and marble polishing powders.
It takes plenty of practice and experience to learn the restoration process and I wouldn't recommend for the average home owner doing it themselves.
This is job for a local stone professional to come out and do the refinishing for you.
Depending on the size of your countertops, the price to restore them will vary greatly.
I'm sure there is a owner/operator company like ourselves you can find in your area.
I wish I could more help.
