I was cleaning my marble floor w/ lysol bleach and didn't realize that it leaves stain (spray stain) on the floor.
Is there a way to get the stain out?
How much does it cost to get the stains removed and polish the marble?
What you have done with the bleach Lysol to your marble floor is etched the marble.
This is not a stain but an etch mark that has actually eaten a bit of the marble.
This happens when acidic or in this case very alkaline (bleach) liquid touches the marble.
It can be fixed and depending on how deep the etch marks are, will depend on what process will need to be used to remove the etch marks.
The type of process will affect what the cost will be. Also, the size of your floor and etched area will determine what the cost will be to restore the floor.
It's really hard to give prices without knowing all these factors. It's always best for the restoration contractor to see the floor to give accurate pricing.
I wish I could be more help. I don't do work in the SF area, so you will have to find a restoration company in the city to come and look the at the marble floor for pricing.
It can be fixed, but marble restoration is not cheap, so expect some cost to get it restored.
