If you have been cleaning your
granite
countertops with hot water and a soft cloth, but feel you need
something a little stronger, we always recommend to our customers to
use
a neutral cleaner.
Using a neutral pH when
cleaning natural stone, will help preserve the granite sealer.
Also, after
cleaning your granite countertop, buff dry with a
microfiber cloth.
You can buy a neutral cleaner safe for granite countertops from a tile
and stone store, fabrication shop or on the web.
If you want to make our own neutral cleaner that will also disinfect
your countertops, visit our
how to clean granite countertops page.
Remember using products like windex or anything acidic like vinegar,
may not damage the granite, but can break down the sealers that help
protect your granite from potential staining.
When it comes to cleaning granite countertops or just maintaining
natural
stone we strive to help educate our customers on the best protection
they can have, helping them save time and money in costly restoration
costs down the road.
We are located in San Jose, but often find ourselves cleaning natural
stone and ceramic tile and grout throughout the Bay Area.
