What type of brush do you recommend I use to clean honed travertine? I have travertine in my bathroom/shower and have utilized a soft bristle toothbrush to clean it. Due to the size of the brush, the task is very time consuming and arduous. Any suggestions or guidlines in selecting a cleaning brush?
In my experience a soft bristle brush works best. The brand doesn't really matter, but a larger size will make the work go faster.
We clean a lot of travertine showers, and it takes a long time too. There's no magic trick, just a lot of elbow grease.
Look for a large soft bristle brush in your local hardware store and buy it. That's the best advice I have for you regarding brushes.
Every time I walk into Lowes, HD, Wall-Mart, which ever store that carries brushes, I investigate what they have.
These stores change brushes all the time, so I'm constantly checking their inventory. I buy a lot and use them all. The harder bristles don't seem to work well.
I hope this help you.
